The Face of Boutique Real Estate
Lia LoChirco
When I reflect on my 32-year career in real estate, I see a journey that has always felt like second nature. As the daughter of immigrant parents, I grew up watching my family build homes, and today, I lead LoChirco Realty LLC, a boutique real estate company in Downtown Rochester, MI.
My career began at a young age. Growing up, my parents gave me a front-row seat to their achievements in home building. While I didn’t play an active role due to my age, I absorbed everything I saw and learned valuable lessons. After graduating high school in 1992, I attended Oakland University but paused my studies to earn my real estate license. Initially exploring new construction home sales, I fully committed to real estate in 2008 during the recession, transitioning from being a full-time family engineer to a full-time real estate sales agent. Helping clients and seeing the rewards of my work quickly became a passion.
In 2009, I joined Century 21, followed by Remax in 2017, where I gained invaluable mentorship and professional growth. By 2021, I made the bold decision to run my family’s brokerage, LoChirco Realty. Without actively recruiting, my reputation attracted agents who wanted to be part of a boutique company. Today, I lead a team of eight real estate agents, ensuring we deliver personalized attention and maintain high ethical standards.
Lia LoChirco – Top Realtor, Mentor, Dream Builder
Over the years, I’ve achieved a career volume of $96 million, with $8 million in total volume just last year. These accomplishments have earned me the Oakland County Top Producer 300 award and active membership in the National Association of REALTORS®. One of my proudest moments has been guiding other agents to success, seeing their excitement as they reach new milestones in their careers.
My multicultural background has shaped my approach to real estate. Fluent in both English and Italian, I can connect with a diverse range of clients and adapt to various customs, which has opened many doors.
At the heart of everything I do is my family. Married to my husband Joe for 32 years, I am incredibly proud of our children—Francesco, Rosella, Gaetano, and Gianmarco. They inspire me every day to strive for excellence and set an example for them to always aim high.
Philanthropy is also close to my heart. I support St. Jude, a cause that has personally impacted my family, providing a place of respite for my nephew and his parents during difficult times.
Outside of real estate, I enjoy traveling, soccer training, working out, and spending time with friends at happy hours. My favorite book, The Good Earth, resonates with my belief in the importance of investing in land and building a lasting legacy.
For those entering the real estate profession, my advice is simple: “Be consistent in all you do. How you handle the small things reflects how you’ll manage the big things.” Hard work and consistency have defined my path and are the keys to lasting success.
Looking ahead, my dream is to continue building LoChirco Realty into a local powerhouse that empowers agents and delivers exceptional service to clients. I want to be remembered as a woman who thrived in an industry often dominated by men, proving that with passion and dedication, anything is possible.
To young girls, my message is this: “There are no limits anymore. Thanks to the legacies of the women before us, we can achieve dreams they once could only imagine. My mother’s pioneering spirit inspired me, and I strive to do the same for others.”
I am not just a top producer in real estate—I am a mentor, a trailblazer, and a dream builder, showing that with dedication and vision, we can build more than homes; we can build legacies.
